The Prairie Home
The Prairie Home is quietly situated overlooking some of the largest meadow views on the property. This restored structure (Late Summer 2010) was part of the original train station in New Ulm. It is a cozy accommodation for 2 couples looking for a country escape or a family looking for lots of outdoors room to roam and explore. It has a full kitchen, dining and family/TV area. Its open views of the native Texas grasslands are unobstructed, except for the wildlife coming to the game feeder. The surrounding acreage is hemmed in by native Texas trees providing privacy and a beautiful pastoral setting. Each bedroom has a connected private bathroom, making it a great venue for that weekend or trip you have always wanted to take with good friends or family. Yet, close enough to home, that you can enjoy the gently rolling hills of Texas with just a short drive. It also has a fold out couch for 2.
Each bedroom is furnished with a new king bed with DirecTV satellite and a 20" LCD Enhanced Definition TV. The family room has DirecTV satellite, DVD and CD player.

- Double futon also doubles as the family room/TV room
- Central air conditioning and heat, although there are front and rear screen doors which are ideal for catching the breezes that come across the hilltop.
- Wireless internet service provided. Appliances are new, including: oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, glassware and utensils for up to six guests.
- One bathroom has an oversized combination Jacuzzi tub and shower, which can fit two, the other bathroom is equipped with a full sized shower. Hair dryer and plenty of new towels.
- Outside are the BBQ pit, picnic table with umbrella and hammock.
- Fishing at ponds within walking distance, we provide rods, reels and fishing to take with you on a nice walk to the various ponds. All fishing is based on catch and release.
- No smoking or pets in the house (self service climate controlled pet kennels provided).
- Linens and Maid service before and after your stay are provided.
